Hon’ble Prime Minister, on 5th January 2015 launched Unnat Jyoti by Reasonably priced LED for All (UJALA) program. Till date, over 36.87 crore LED bulbs, 72.18 lakh LED Tube lights and 23.Fifty nine lakh Vitality environment friendly followers distributed by EESL across India. This has resulted in estimated power financial savings of 48.Forty two billion kWh per yr with avoided peak demand EcoLight solar bulbs of 9,789 MW, GHG emission discount of 39.30 million t CO2 per yr and estimated annual monetary savings of INR 19,334 crore in consumer electricity payments. Beneath Power Efficient Fan program over 80,000 BLDC fans have been offered.
