We offer open door to the resource spaces which consist of computer systems and Internet, telephones, and facsimile machine. Also, job candidates can go to on-site recruiting events, workshops on resumé writing, interviewing abilities, and task search activities, or pursue more intensive training or certifications for professions that are in demand. All 95 Tennessee counties are served by an American Job Center with competent staff and open 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Our Job Centers are grouped by areas called LWDAs (Local Workforce Development Areas).

Local Workforce Development Areas (LWDAs)

LWDAs are location clusters of counties whose labor market and other employment-related aspects are comparable. This means each area offers labor force advancement and profession services based on regional requirements. LWDAs are affiliate, or partners who help run and administer programs and services as directed from the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) at all of the regional task centers throughout the state.
